Celtic fans were reminded of Anthony Ralston 's famous clash with Neymar in 2017 during their 3-2 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in Germany - but this time it was the right-back on the receiving end.
Ralston earned cult hero status in the Champions League clash at Parkhead four years ago when he was seen standing up to one of the top players in the world.
Celtic were thrashed 5-0 by Paris Saint-Germain but Ralston's brash encounter with Neymar, in which he laughed in the face of the Brazilian, went viral on social media.
It may not have been an intentional reference from Robert Andrich, who made a beeline for Ralston after firing in his second and Bayer Leverkusen 's equaliser.
But the way he got in the face of the Celtic defender reminded many viewing of the stick Ralston gave to Neymar.
Ralston struggled for long spells of the clash in Germany and was partially culpable in the equaliser as Andrich smashed home.
So the passionate celebration from the midfielder may just have been a recognition of Ralston's mistake in the build-up.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a resurgence this season under Ange Postecoglou and is likely to remain his starting right-back for the visit of Aberdeen this weekend.
