Manchester United scrapped their way to a vital three points on Saturday as they edged a 3-2 result over a dogged Norwich City in the Premier League.
A Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick saved the Reds' blushes after Norwich had pegged them back to 2-2 at Old Trafford. The Portuguese star's free-kick secured the victory and left the Reds just three points outside the top four.
It was not such plain sailing for some of United's loanees playing across the UK and Europe this Easter weekend. MEN Sport has taken a look at how six of the Reds' loanees got on for their temporary clubs.

Anthony Martial (Sevilla)
It was a nightmare evening for Martial in La Liga on Sunday. His side were leading 2-0 when Eduardo Camavinga hacked him down.
Instead of booking the Real Madrid man, Martial received a yellow for his reaction. Two minutes later and he was replaced by Rafael Mir due to an injury.
Madrid ended up overturning the two-goal deficit to win 3-2 in stoppage time.
Ethan Laird (AFC Bournemouth)
Laird made his first start under Scott Parker on Good Friday at right back. The 20-year-old put in a solid performance for the Cherries in defence as the Championship promotion hopefuls drew 0-0 with Middlesbrough.
The result leaves Bournemouth four points above Huddersfield Town in third who have played two games more.
Nathan Bishop (Mansfield Town)
Bishop once again got the nod from Nigel Clough to start in goal for the Stags on Good Friday but their game against Sutton United in League Two would be the end of their good form. The London side ran out 3-2 victors but Bishop will feel hard done by to concede three.
His centre back Farrend Rawson was at fault for the first while the third was given in controversial circumstances as home fans appealed for an offside flag. The Stags remain in the play-off places.
James Garner (Nottingham Forest)
Garner started an ill-tempered game for Forest at Kenilworth Road on Friday as the East Midlands outfit chase promotion back to the Premier League. The United loanee was booked just before half time, one of ten bookings on the day.
Luton's only goal came from the penalty spot in the first half. The Hatters went down to ten men in the second half's latter stages but they held on for a vital victory.
Di'shon Bernard (Hull City)
Bernard played just a cameo role off the bench for the Tigers on Good Friday as his side won 2-1 against Cardiff City. Allahyar Sayyadmanesh and Lewie Coyle scored early to give Hull a commanding lead.
Aden Flint's header for the away side made the game nervy for the home fans and Bernard was introduced immediately after the goal. He managed to help his side hold on for a victory which comfortably solidifies their status in the second tier.
Ethan Galbraith (Doncaster Rovers)
Doncaster are in the midst of a relegation battle at the moment and the Yorkshire club lost narrowly to Bolton Wanderers to worsen their fears of the drop. Galbraith came off the bench ten minutes after the interval and was booked after a 78th-minute Kieran Sadlier goal secured the three points for the Greater Manchester club.
