Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard sent home as sickness bug disrupts Man Utd camp ahead of Wolves clash

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is sweating on the fitness of members of his Manchester United squad after revealing a sickness bug in the camp ahead of the FA Cup third round tie against Wolves.

Youngsters James Garner and Dylan Levitt are among the players to have struggled with illness as of late and are set to miss Saturday’s FA Cup third round clash against Wolves – with an Under-23s match against West Ham on Monday a more likely return date.

Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard are also among those suffering with colds – both being sent home after turning up for training at Carrington this morning.

“There’s a little bit of illness in the camp, but that’s normal through this time of year, so we just have to find out tomorrow who’s waking up okay,” Solskjaer told MUTV.

He continued: “We’ve had a couple of youngsters doing well. Jimmy, Dylan but they’ve been injured and ill so they’ve lost quite a bit of football lately. They’re just getting back and I think we’ll see Jimmy on Monday in the reserves.”

United are already severely depleted by injuries to Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba, while Marcos Rojo and Axel Tuanzebe are still to return to fitness.

Tuanzebe, along with Timothy Fosu-Mensah, are expected to feature for the Under-23 side before first-team returns.
