Anthony Martial adds to Man Utd injury woes with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer minus three forwards

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to be without three of his forwards this weekend after Anthony Martial came off in Manchester United's draw with AC Milan.

The Norwegian is already without Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani and was forced to bring the Frenchman off at half-time.

United are in the midst of playing twice a week as they attempt to negotiate the knockout stages of the Europa League.

As a result their squad is being tested after Rashford hobbled off in last weekend's Manchester derby.

Solskjaer doesn't expect to have him, Martial or Cavani available for Sunday's clash against West Ham.

"Anthony, he got a whack on his hip so that’s another forward that we need to scan and have to look at," he said.

"Definitely hope Marcus is back for next Thursday in Milan, I’m not sure if he’ll make Sunday, but fingers crossed because we will need him.

"Edinson I don’t think will be ready for Sunday no."

Solskjaer was handed a boost in the form of Amad however with the Ivorian scoring against Milan.

The teenager is likely to be in contention for Sunday's contest against the Hammers where the United boss will be looking for an improved performance.

"We were too slow in possession and even though we had the same amount as them we never used the ball well enough, we never played it well enough or quick enough," he added.

"We started really slow and I’m disappointed in that but hopefully, we can have one or two players back for next week so maybe it will be a better game.

"[The away goal] makes it harder but it makes us have to go down there and score goals and win the game that might suit, it probably will suit us."
