Anthony Lynn hints at whose spot Forrest Lamp will take during media session at NFL combine

Head coach Anthony Lynn spoke at the NFL combine Thursday morning and addressed a handful of topics. Everything from Derwin James and how the Chargers were lucky to select such a talented player, to how the running game needs to finish like they started.

What stood out to me was Anthony Lynn’s comments about the offensive line. He said that the team brought in Forrest Lamp to be a long time starter. That tells you right away that they are going to slot him in somewhere along the line next year. Lynn also spoke about the continuity of the line and that once Lamp was ready to roll, they already had a unit together. Watch this clip:

Lynn mentioned how everyone did a good job and competed. Everyone except for Dan Feeney. That all but tells us whose spot Lamp will be taking next year. Or at least competing with. You have to wonder if there is someone else to compete with Schofield, or if they will roll with the veteran for another year. Time will tell, but Lynn’s comments said a lot on Thursday morning.
