Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz weight: How the two boxers stack up ahead of big fight

Anthony Joshua has weighed in over 10lbs lighter for his world title rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr on Saturday.

Joshua tipped the scales at 247.5lbs in New York last June but has shed the weight in his bid to take his IBF, WBO and WBA (Super) titles back from Ruiz.

The Briton came in at 237lbs in Friday’s weigh-in, considerably lighter the man who will be standing across the ring from him this weekend.

Pre-fight talk was that Ruiz would enter the rematch lighter than the 268lbs he weighed ahead of the first fight at Madison Square Garden.

But the Mexican-American hit 283.7lbs this afternoon.

Dillian Whyte fights on the undercard in Saudi Arabia this weekend and came in at his heaviest weight to date – 271.1lbs.

Weigh-in results in full:

  • Alexander Povetkin (229.3lbs) vs Michael Hunter (226lbs)
  • Dillian Whyte (271lbs) vs Mariusz Wach (270lbs)
  • Filip Hrgovic (241lbs) vs Eric Molina (248lbs)
  • Mahammadrasul Majidov (231lbs) vs Tom Little (251lbs)
  • Zuhayr Al Qahtani (134.2lbs) vs Omar Dusary (129.4lbs)
