Anthony Joshua just sent this message to Wales footballer Loren Dykes ahead of special occasion

Anthony Joshua has sent a good-luck message to Wales footballer Loren Dykes to become Wales' second-ever centurion tonight in 100-cap milestone ahead of the defender making history tonight by picking up her 100th cap.

The Bristol City stalwart becomes Wales' second-ever footballer to reach 100 international caps tonight when Wales take on Czech Republic at Rodney Parade (7pm kick-off).

The 31-year-old follows in the footsteps of her team-mate Jess Fishlock, who became the first Wales footballer - male or female - to reach the milestone back in 2017.

Ahead of the fixture tonight, Wales Commonwealth Games gold medal-winning boxer Lauren Price has sent well wishes to Morriston-born Loren, with a video message also featuring world heavyweight champion Anthony 'AJ' Joshua

Lauren wrote: "A big shoutout to Loren Dykes f rom myself and the big man AJ winning her 100th cap tonight. Amazing Loz ... Good Luck Tonight Girls".

In the video, AJ said: "I just want to say well done to Loz getting her 100th cap today. Well done, many more to come."

Price added: "Good luck tonight girls against Czech Republic. Hope you get the win."

Joshua finished the video with: "They will get the win. Good luck as well. It's amazing, take care."

Dykes, 31, spoke about the milestone earlier this week, saying while “definitely a bit of a dream come true”, it was not expected when she started out and picked up her first cap in 2007.

She said: “I’ve been told many times now to embrace it and enjoy it because it doesn’t happen very often.

“Hopefully, in years to come we’re going to have a lot more younger players reaching these milestones a lot earlier. It’s definitely a moment to enjoy and be proud of for my family and friends.

“It’s definitely a bit of a dream come true in some ways, but it’s not the be-all and end-all. It’s about the team, and we’re preparing for a game.”
