Anthony Joshua says he "would love to see" Mike Tyson make a stunning return to boxing.
Tyson has spent the past few weeks fuelling speculation he is set to make a comeback by posting a host of videos on his social media accounts showing him in training.
Despite having not fought since 2005, the former world champion still appears in good shape and his hand speed remains as ferocious as ever.
And despite some critics suggesting the American should stay away from the professional ring, British heavyweight Joshua has welcomed his potential return.
Speaking to British GQ, Joshua said: "If he's back in the ring, I would love to see it, I would definitely be one of the viewers, that's for sure.
"No matter what anybody has to say about Mike Tyson now, in terms of what he went through when he was fighting and some of the controversies he went through.
"The guy took himself from his neighbourhood – which wasn't the prettiest of scenes – up to an amateur champion, youngest heavyweight champion, one of the most recognised faces of the sport of boxing.
"In my opinion the only two faces in boxing that are recognised globally are Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.
"So from where he started, to where he is now, he is my ultimate motivation.
"He's the closest guy to my generation so he holds a special place in my heart."
Indeed, there has been growing speculation that the former unified heavyweight king will soon bring an end to his 15-year hiatus from boxing.
And it appears one of the American's first match-ups upon his return could be against a foe he knows so well who is also looking to make his own comeback.
Following Tyson's many clips showing his return, fellow former world champion Evander Holyfield also shared footage of himself back in the gym.
The pair famously fought twice in the 1990s, with Holyfield emerging victorious on both occasions at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The second bout became shrouded in controversy after Tyson was disqualified for biting his rival's ear and it looks like the American pair could meet again in a trilogy fight should they both return to boxing.
