Anthony Joshua claims Tyson Fury "wants to be everything I am" ahead of mega-fight

Anthony Joshua insists he is "everything Tyson Fury wants to be" ahead of their much anticipated unification bout.

The all-British fight is yet to be finalised with dates and venues to be negotiated.

There is a desire from both parties to make the contest happen though following years of jibes between the two.

Fury is again a title holder having regained his belt from Deontay Wilder with a stoppage victory over the American last year.

Joshua meanwhile has comeback from his shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019 with victories over the Mexican and Kubrat Pulev.

Fury has never been shy of making his feelings known and has regularly mocked Joshua, but the Watford-born star is adamant his opponent would love to be him.

He said on Troy Deeney's 'Deeney Talks' Podcast : "What an honour it is for me, for the whole world, to be in a position to fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the word.

"And in a fight I know I can win. It's not going to be easy but I know I can win. I'm ready to go through whatever pain, adversity, torture in order to win. Thats why I'm really looking forward to it.

"The man will talk about drinking pints and he's not interested, yet he wants to look chiselled.

"He's training the hardest he's every trained, he's the skinniest he's ever been, he wants to have a good body and be well prepared.

"It's psychological warfare; what they call me is what they want to be. He wants to have a six-pack, that's why he's training as hard as he's training.

"Everything he says I am is everything he wants to be."
