Anthony Hopkins shows off moves as he does Drake's Toosie Slide

Anthony Hopkins joked he was "late to the party" as he danced along to Drake in a very odd TikTok video.

The Welsh award-winning actor, 82, took to his Twitter account on Friday with an uplifting video as he danced to the rapper's Toosie Slide song.

He also appeared to impersonate Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the bizzare clip, which was posted to TikTok.

Anthony had joined in on the Toosie Slide challenge, which is a viral trend that many celebrities, including the likes of Justin Bieber, Tyga and Diddy, have been involved with.

He wrote: " #Drake I'm late to the party... but better late than never. #SylvesterStallone #ArnoldSchwarzenegger #toosieslidechallenge "

He showed off his hilarious dance moves in the video, as he swept from left to right in rhythm with the lyrics of the song.

Anthony went on to challenge Sylvester to take part in the trend by impersonating the actor, saying: "Hey, Mr Stallone, keep writing! Good part for me in it? Gimme a part, major – huh?"

The star then turned to Arnold and oddly greeted the actor's dog Lulu before referencing his infamous "I'll be back" catchphrase.

Fans loved the 82-year-old's video (Twitter)

Anthony, who is famous for playing cannibal psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter, received lots of attention from fans after uploading the funny video.

One fan wrote on Twitter: "You re loved Anthony Hopkins [heart emoji]"

While Braveheart and Saw III actor Angus Macfadyen penned: "The madman! stay safe on the outer limits, mr. national treasure".

A third added: "Great moves, Sir Hopkins!"
