Manchester United forward Anthony Elanga has reacted on social media after making his Premier League debut against Leicester City.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shuffled his deck for Tuesday night's clash, making 10 changes to the side that defeated Aston Villa due to a frantic fixture schedule that sees United play their third game in five days against Liverpool on Thursday.
That rotation allowed Elanga to be among two players to make their Premier League debut in United 's 2-1 defeat, alongside Amad.
However, while Amad has had previous experience in the Europa League this season, it was the first taste of first-team action for Elanga.
Naturally, the 19-year-old was delighted with his opportunity and took to social media after the game to share his reaction.
"An honour to make my debut tonight. Everyone knows how much this Club means to me," he posted on Instagram.
"It’s been a long journey to this point and I couldn’t have achieved this without the support of my family. There are so many people that I am thankful for in making this dream come true. God’s glory always."
The performances of Elanga and Amad were hailed by United midfielder Nemanja Matic after the game, who said:
"We had some meetings, of course we are not happy with the result, but we played some good football. The youngsters did well and showed great character against a very good side."
United are back in action on Thursday against Liverpool at Old Trafford in the Premier League, as the campaign edges towards its final week.
