Anthony Davis will not play in Tuesday’s Lakers versus Hawks game

After winning five of seven games and showing definite signs of life, the Los Angeles Lakers are back to looking certifiably mediocre. They were trounced on Monday by the Houston Rockets, 135-119, and they will be right back on the court on Tuesday when they visit the Atlanta Hawks.

The Hawks are 19-27, but they can get hot and put up a bunch of points; they will not be an easy opponent.

The degree of difficulty will be even higher than it would ordinarily be for L.A., as it will be without Anthony Davis. Davis will sit out this contest due to hip spasms.

Davis dealt with hip spasms earlier this season, and he seemed to re-aggravate the condition on Saturday in a win over the Golden State Warriors. Despite not being 100%, he played on Monday in Houston, but he had an underwhelming 23 points, seven rebounds and one blocked shot.
