Although last night was Taco Tuesday and that took the main headlines in the world of LeBron James, the world of the Los Angeles Lakers is of course much bigger thanks to the presence of Anthony Davis.
With Davis helping raise expectations in Los Angeles upon his arrival, he’s set to become the next star of the town as he hopes to lead L.A.’s marquee franchise to the promised land. Even though the Los Angeles Clippers are more highly-regarded as contenders, the Lakers still remain the biggest show in town.
And as Davis’ star continues to grow, he was a guest on last night’s episode of The Jimmy Kimmel Show, where he told the story of how LeBron first contacted him after the Lakers agreed to a deal with New Orleans.
Davis and James will certainly get the most attention to start the season in L.A., even if they aren’t the favorites to start the season. And Davis, who was seemingly eager to have a bigger marketing reach, is clearly starting to get that.
