LeBron James’ unbridled enthusiasm for Taco Tuesday and the delightful videos of him and his family’s weekly tradition have been some of the best sports of the summer. It’s become such a big thing that when the Los Angeles Lakers superstar doesn’t do it — or at least doesn’t post a video on social media about it — his fans are actually a bit disappointed.
People absolutely loved when he made a Taco Tuesday video in a Tune Squad jersey for Space Jam 2 and when he recently celebrated it while filming the Looney Tunes sequel. He even has custom Taco Tuesday t-shirts.
Along with doing Taco Tuesday with his family, he’s done it with rapper 2 Chainz and people at an event for the LeBron James Family Foundation. Anthony Davis, his new Lakers teammate, also stopped by one Tuesday this summer. And thanks to Davis’ Twitter Q&A on Friday, we now know he can do an excellent impression of LeBron on Taco Tuesday.
When asked what Taco Tuesday is like with LeBron, Davis said:
“It was great. You know, LeBron does it every Tuesday. I’ve been invited once. He said I wasn’t fun enough so hopefully I’ll get invited back soon and make you guys laugh. But if you can, make sure enjoy Taco Tuesday with LeBron.”
