Anthony Davis (eye) misses Lakers practice on Tuesday

The Los Angeles Lakers continue to take the slow approach with their star big man Anthony Davis and his sore left eye, which was poked during the first quarter of Saturday’s scrimmage against the Orlando Magic. Davis has yet to return to practice and joined LeBron James and other key players in sitting out Monday’s third and final scrimmage against the Washington Wizards.

The Lakers were back at practice on Tuesday morning in Orlando, where Davis was spotted watching the action from the sidelines. Davis did not look like someone who planned to workout or play, wearing flip-flops and sunglasses indoors, as captured by Tania Ganguli of the L.A. Times.

Davis is no stranger to missing a game or two here and there, so Lakers fans shouldn’t be too worried about what his longterm outlook is, or even his short term outlook, for Thursday’s season-opening game the Los Angeles Clippers. Also, the Lakers still have one more day to get Davis in a workout before they prepare to face the Clippers.
