Anthony Davis announces he will wear No. 3 for Lakers next season

After Nike put a stop to LeBron James’ plans to give Anthony Davis his No. 23 for the upcoming season after missing the deadline to change it and having far too much Lakers LeBron No. 23 inventory, The Brow is pivoting to a number he’s never worn during his high-level basketball career.

Davis is taking things all the way back to his grade school days by choosing the No. 3, a number typically used by guards, for his first season as a Laker.

Taking the number all the way back to elementary school! #3

In case you forgot, Davis played most of his youth as a guard before a massive growth spurt turned him into the seven foot shot-blocking force that he has become today. LeBron had been planning on wearing No. 6 for this coming season but that will have to wait until the 2020-21 season.
