Former Dublin and Clare boss Anthony Daly has stepped down as Kilmacud Crokes hurling manager after their Dublin quarter-final loss to Cuala.
The two-time All-Ireland winner had been linked to returns to the county hotseat in both 2017 and 2018, but on both occasions 'Dalo' was beaten out - first by Pat Gilroy, and then by Mattie Kenny.
The former Clare captain took over the Crokes job ahead of the 2018 campaign, and brought them all the way to a Dublin final before going down to Ballyboden St Enda's after a replay.
And Daly said his time at the club had come to 'a natural end' after their last eight exit this year.
"It came to a natural end," Daly told the Irish Independent.
"It was a one-year project really but we were so close last year, so unlucky, that it just felt right to go again.
"But we were beaten by a great Cuala team who, to be honest, look like they go could all the way again."
