Anthony Bourdain’s New York City apartment has gone on the market, two months after the late celebrity chef passed away by suicide.

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom high-rise located on the 64th floor of the Time Warner Centre in Columbus Circle has been listed by luxury real estate company Douglas Elliman for rent for $14,200 (£11,000) per month.

Inside the 1,283-square-foot apartment, posted on real estate site Streeteasy, is a white granite kitchen accented with wood that would have made the perfect place for the famous chef to cook, and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer incredible views of the Hudson River.

The master bedroom features two walk-in closets and a washer and dryer.

The steep price includes enviable amenities such as a full-time doorman, concierge service, a health club and spa, a landscaped sun deck, resident’s lounge and a movie theatre - in addition to across-the-street proximity to Central Park.

The high-rise also houses a basement Whole Foods, so residents can grocery shop without leaving the building.

With a plethora of food options and restaurants, the location of the apartment is in stark contrast to Bourdain’s later New York City apartment located on the Upper East Side, which he once referred to as a "food wasteland."

Of the wealthy Upper East Side, Bourdain told The Times: “For an area as affluent as mine, and presumably as sophisticated, it’s a wasteland for food.”

The late chef, who was born in New York, regularly featured the city on his show Parts Unknown.

Prior to his death on June 8 in France, Bourdain shot an episode for the show focused on the eclectic Lower East Side.

The much-anticipated first episode of Bourdain's final season will premiere at the Food Film Festival in New York in October.
