“The scenes in Bondi are shocking and distressing,” Albanese said.
“Police and emergency responders are on the ground working to save lives. My thoughts are with every person affected.
“I just have spoken to the AFP Commissioner and the NSW Premier.
“We are working with NSW Police and will provide further updates as more information is confirmed.

Per the Sydney Morning Herald, people in Bondi reported hearing up to 50 gunshots just after 6.40pm at Bondi Beach.
“I saw at least 10 people on the ground and blood everywhere,” Harry Wilson, a local who claimed to have witnessed the shooting, told the publication.
Information surrounding the nature or motive behind the shootings has not been shared. However, hundreds of people were attending Chanukkah by the Sea to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah when the shooting occurred.
