Anthea Turner accused of flouting social distancing by hugging friend after lockdown bash

Anthea Turner was spotted hugging her friend despite the nation’s coronavirus restrictions.

The 60-year-old was previously under fire when she hosted a ‘pamper party’ at her south-west London flat last month.

It was believed that the friends were treated to haircuts, massages, manicures and eyebrow tints while drinking alcohol.

Now, the host and her fiancé Mark Armstrong have been pictured on a stroll through London’s Primrose Hill with a couple who had their child by their side.

There are still rules that state people in England are only allowed to meet up with one person from outside their household or support bubble when outdoors.

Anthea sported a peach and white checkered jacket, blue jeans and brown boots as she walked with her friends.

The star even embraced her pal despite the government website stating people still have to socially distance themselves even when hanging out with the person from outside their household.

The former Blue Peter host never responded to requests for comment over her pamper party in February, but one guest claimed ‘it was a business meeting’ to The Sun.

Others present included a former Bafta CEO, friends from Anthea's time on TV and a marketing executive.

Her supposed party came a few hours after she posted a meme about obesity and coronavirus.

She was slammed online when she posted a drawing that showed an overweight woman sitting in a wheelchair while wearing a face mask.

The woman was holding a bag of McDonald’s.

“Put a mask on!” the cartoon said to a woman not wearing a mask. “You’re putting my health at risk!”

“Go for it!! X” the star captioned her Twitter post before going on a series of rants about the coronavirus lockdown as well as personal responsibility on health.

Anthea later called her post "clumsy" and apologised for it.
