Ant Middleton slams SAS Who Dares Wins for 'cashing in' on his image after sacking him

Ant Middleton has accused SAS: Who Dares Wins of 'cashing in' on him after seeing his image on an advert for the new series of the show - from which he was sacked.

Ant, who was given the boot by Channel 4 over his "personal conduct’", slammed the show 'for 'making money of his profile' which he called '‘hypocritical and shameful.'

The former member of the Special Boat Service - a Navy special forces unit - who continues to front the Australian version of the gruelling reality series, ranted on Instagram : "I’ve just seen an advert of SAS UK on 7+ here in Australia! Funny how the UK cancel culture ‘supposedly’ sacked me but they’re still willing to make money from my profile, my brand, my name, my work and my show!"

"And now that I’ve opened up a market for myself in Australia they are capitalising on my success!"

"Laughable, hypocritical and shameful but business is business and that’s exactly what it is… just business baby!" and adding the hashtags "#fightcancelculture #allnoise #allBS".

Mirror Online has contacted representatives for comment.

Channel 4 confirmed Ant’s departure from SAS: Who Dares Wins in March.

Ant was axed by Channel 4 after complaints were made by female crew over “inappropriate comments”, the Mirror revealed.

The previous series featuring him, which was filmed before his exit, still aired.

When Ant was fired a spokesperson for Channel 4 said: "Following a number of discussions, Channel 4 and Minnow Films have had with him in relation to his personal conduct it has become clear that our views and values are not aligned and we will not be working with him again."

And the decision came months after he was heavily criticised in June last year after he branded Black Lives Matter protesters “absolute scum”.

But his BLM remarks were not the sole reason for the decision to ditch him from the SAS Who Dares Win series.

A number of staff raised concerns with makers Minnow Films and Channel 4 during an end of year review where they were allowed to speak anonymously.

Ant later responded to the allegations by dismissing them as "indirect and just military banter" on Good Morning Britain.

Middleton branded Minnow Films and Channel 4's statements "very reckless and desperate" and accused them of trying to "protect their brand".

Middleton fumed: "The excuses that keep coming like inappropriate comments... it's all smoke and mirrors."

The ex-Special Forces soldier went on to blast the "PC patrol and woke patrol" kicking in and complained that he "couldn't say anything", adding: "It's so controlled."

When initially questioned about whether he had ever made any directly offensive comments to crew members, he claimed: "They've obviously seen a bit of military banter... it's not direct, it's something indirect."
