SAS Who Dares Wins viewers were left very confused tonight as Ant Middleton appeared on the new series of the show.
The latest series started on Channel 4 tonight with hopeful recruits aiming to get through the gruelling challenges put before them.
Ant told the new recruits he would be their head trainer as they lay on the ground with their faces in the mud.
But lots of fans watching at home were left confused by Ant's appearance, after Channel 4 sensationally "parted ways" with the former military man earlier this year.
Morgan said: "I thought Ant had been sacked?"
B said: "Thought Ant had been sacked from this show."
Michelle said: "I thought @antmiddleton wasn’t doing #SASWhoDaresWins anymore?"
Chris Morely said: "I thought @antmiddleton wasn’t going to be on this series??"
And Andy Campbell said: "When you thought @antmiddleton wasn’t working for channel 4 but he rocks up in opening credits."
Ant filmed the latest series of the show before his row with Channel 4 in March.
Channel 4 said at the time: "It has been announced that Ant Middleton will not be taking part in future series of SAS: Who Dares Wins. Following a number of discussions Channel 4 and Minnow Films have had with him in relation to his personal conduct it has become clear that our views and values are not aligned and we will not be working with him again."
But Ant slammed the statement and told Good Morning Britain that he was planning to leave the show anyway.
Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, Middleton branded Minnow Films and Channel 4's statements "very reckless and desperate" and accused them of trying to "protect their brand".
He also branded Channel 4 "desperate" over the firing but admitted "butting heads with a lot of people" on set.
