Ant Middleton has broken his silence on being disqualified from The Amazing Race 2025 after his brother Dan allegedly made critical remarks about TikTok duo Luke and Scott O’Halloran – known online as Luke and Sassy Scott.
ICYMI: in April, word got out that a team had been let go from the celebrity version of the competition due to an alleged altercation.
Multiple sources claimed that tensions boiled over during a break in filming overseas, after Dan allegedly made disparaging remarks about the TikTok personalities.

At the time, a 10 spokesperson confirmed that a team had been disqualified from the competition after a “breach of the production’s code of conduct”, adding that the incident occurred “on a day off from production”.
“Network 10 takes the health, safety and well-being of all contestants seriously,” the statement read. “Following a breach of the production’s code of conduct by one contestant, on a day off during production, a team from The Amazing Race Australia was disqualified and swiftly sent home.”
Speaking to PEDESTRIAN.TV, Ant Middleton said: “Unfortunately I’m not at liberty to any information as I had absolutely nothing to do with this situation and due to confidentiality, they’re not allowed to tell me anything”.
It’s important to point out that Ant Middleton wasn’t personally involved in the incident, though his brother’s alleged actions have certainly stirred up some drama.
Now, with the new season set to kick off in a matter of weeks, the stars of the series have begun to promote the show on their social media. But notably, the Middleton Brothers have remained silent.
When asked if withholding from promoting the show was his personal choice or an order from the network, he responded: “Personal choice not to post as I’m extremely busy with other projects”.
Industry insiders who spoke to PEDESTRIAN.TV claim the brothers will barely feature in the early eps before vanishing entirely.
They also added that the cast (especially Luke & Sassy Scott) have been urged by the network to stay quiet about the incident in order to protect the show’s squeaky-clean, family-friendly image.
Weeks later, Luke & Sassy Scott broke their silence as well, telling Sydney Confidential: “Dan Middleton approached us six times, making remarks and gestures that we found homophobic, offensive, intimidatory, and disturbing.”

The new season features a stacked line-up of local legends, including Melissa Leong, Rob Mills, and Gretel Killeen who will be racing around the globe for the top prize.
Our insider also claimed that multiple contestants turned down offers for I’m A Celeb in favour of The Amazing Race. Same pay cheque but less disgusting demands.
Or, as one casting agent put it: “Why eat zebra anus when you can fly around the world with your bestie and stay in hotels?”
The Amazing Race Australia 2025 will air on Ten on September 8.
