Ant McPartlin tearful as child from BGT choir clings onto him and says they 'missed him'

Ant McPartlin is close to tears after a little girl from a kids' choir clings to him and tells him that she "missed him" during the first episode of Britain's Got Talent.

On Saturday, the much-loved show returns for its 13th series with Ant back on board.

The 43-year-old presenter took a break from his TV commitments last year following his drink-drive crash and later checked into rehab.

His appearance on the screen on Saturday will be the first time in almost a year with co-star Declan Donnelly.

And in the emotional episode, the judges watch an enchanting and endearing children's choir led by their headteacher.

After receiving brilliant comments from the judges, and David Walliams sobbing, the group all head backstage.

One of the kids grabbed onto Ant and he held her in his arms.

"I missed you," she told him as she hugged him.

Looking choked up, Ant responds: "I missed you too. Now you've got to let go now, you've got to go through."

But she doesn't listen to him and hugs him more, saying: "Bye bye."

"Bye bye," he says tearfully while putting her down. "Love you lots."

How sweet...
