Ant McPartlin 'sets August date' to marry fiancée Anne-Marie Corbett in low-key ceremony

Ant McPartlin has reportedly set a date to marry fiancée Anne-Marie Corbett, with plans to tie the knot in August.

The 45-year-old TV presenter got engaged to Anne-Marie at Christmas and they are planning a low-key church wedding with just family and close friends being on the guest list.

Ant will be asking his television partner, Declan Donnelly, to be best man for the ceremony which is expected to take place in London.

A source has told The Sun: "Neither of them want the razzmatazz of a showbiz wedding."

The source added that they don't want the "glare of the spotlight" on their nuptials with just their "nearest and dearest" joining them for their special day.

Ant and Anne-Marie are reportedly hoping for a "simple but beautiful ceremony."

The source also revealed that Anne-Marie has had her first dress fitting and the couple are excited about becoming husband and wife.

The couple apparently had plans to get married abroad but Covid restrictions made the situation too unpredictable, so they have turned to the Capital for tying the knot.

It is thought that the wedding will be a far cry from when Ant married Lisa Armstrong, in a star-studded ceremony.

Ant married Lisa, who is a make-up artist on Strictly Come Dancing, in 2006, with 150 guests joining them for their big day at Cliveden House Hotel in Buckinghamshire, with a huge fireworks display finishing the night.

They had their divorce's decree absolute finalised last year, bringing an end to their 11-year marriage.

Ant then proposed to Anne-Marie on Christmas Eve.
