Ant & Dec apologise as Gordon Ramsay swears on Takeaway right after joke about bleep button

Ant and Dec had to apologise for Gordon Ramsay's bad language on Saturday Night Takeaway, moments after joking they'd need a swear button for him.

Potty mouthed chef Gordon lived up to his reputation within minutes of being the Star Guest Announcer for the second episode of Takeaway's new series.

After the show opened with a performance from Rag N Bone Man, Ant and Dec chatted to Gordon and said they'd invested in a bleep machine just in case he dropped a few swear words but he assured them he'd be "minding his P&Qs"

Ant then jokingly swore to test the bleep out but then Gordon proved exactly why they should have had it on standby after saying "p***ed" while playing a game of Read My Lips.

The challenge involves the celeb wearing headphones while a member of the public attempts to get them to guess words they shout out and Gordon said "p***ed" before gesturing drink and shouting "Peroni" and eventually getting the right answer, which was pizza.

After the round came to an end and the player at home won £250, Ant turned to Gordon and said: "We do have to apologise for your language half way through that," to which Gordon replied: "What did I say?"

Ant told him: "It sounded like a swear word, it might not have been one...but it sounded like one," at which Gordon sat open mouthed.

Reacting to Gordon's bad language, one viewer tweeted: "Gordon Ramsay just cannot help himself. His mouth is so disgusting he swears without even knowing he's doing it. "We're keeping it clean" and seconds later GR says "P***ed".

" ITV should know better than to take a chance booking him for a family show."

Another posted: "All that at the start about a beep machine for Gordon Ramsey and he really swears and they miss it"
