Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have urged people to stay indoors after being asked to do so by a four-year-old with leukaemia.

The comedic presenting duo, both 45, filmed themselves from their respective homes after Mila Sneddon told ITV News that she wanted to hear her idols “say[ing] that all of the people have to stay indoors.”

Answering her plea, the duo shared a video online.

McPartlin explains: “Hi everybody, Ant and Dec here, not together because we’re at home like everybody should be.”

“Mila wants us to tell everybody to stay at home so we can protect her and thousands and thousands of people like her," continues Donnelly.

The pair then shout “everybody stay at home” in unison.

Four-year-old Sneddon is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy after being diagnosed with leukaemia, which effects the immune system, in November last year.

She is self-isolating in order to minimise the risk posed to her by Covid-19.

Speaking to ITV News, her father, Scott Sneddon, revealed that me and Mila's sister have moved out of their family home amid the coronavirus outbreak.

This is because they are still working during the lockdown and as Mia is high risk due to her leukaemia, the family do not want to risk exposing her to the virus.

Mila is an avid fan of Ant and Dec, telling ITV News that the pair are her “heroes” and so she wanted them to tell the UK to stay home to keep her safe.

She is currently on a two year treatment plan which includes chemotherapy, steroids, antibiotics, and blood transfusions.
