Ant and Dec spark cheeky Wembley ticket request from Newcastle fans after semi final win

Ant and Dec were bombarded with cheeky requests from Newcastle United after the team made it to the Carabao Cup final on Tuesday night, all after the same thing - a ticket to Wembley.

As lifelong Magpies fans, the Geordie presenters were gutted at not being able to take their seats at St James' Park for the crunch match against Southampton on Tuesday night. Ant and Dec had commitments down in London for the new series of Britain' Got Talent, meaning they couldn't head home to see their beloved United beat Southampton 2-1, thanks to an early brace from local lad Sean Longstaff.

In the hours before kick off, the presenters took to Twitter to tell their followers they 'wish' they could be at the match and, while they were absent from St James', they were super quick to react to Newcastle making a Wembley final for the first time in 24 years, after the final whistle blew.

Returning to Twitter at full time, Ant and Dec echoing the chants going around SJP, when they posted: "Tell me Ma, me Ma."

It didn't take long for replies to their tweet to pour in from fellow NUFC fans in and, many of them were on a similar theme - wanting the I'm A Celebrity stars to get them into Wembley for the final.

One responded: "Lads any chance of 2 tickets for fellow geordies pleeeeease," with another, on exactly the same lines, asking Ant and Dec: "Any chance of yous grabbing me an extra ticket for the final lads?"

A third wrote: "Grab 'us a ticket please lads," with another joking: "Yeah, no problem guys…we’d happily join you in your box! No need to ask again, it would be a pleasure!"
