Ant and Dec's superhero outfits are being auctioned off to help Marie Curie

Marie Curie is auctioning off two superhero costumes worn by Ant and Dec to raise money for charity.

The fetching lycra numbers were worn by the Geordie duo in a trailer for the series 'Saturday Night Takeaway'.

ITV donated the outfits to Marie Curie, who are hoping the auction brings in vital funds for end of life care.

The items will be up for grabs on the charity's eBay page from Thursday 7th May until 5.00 pm on Sunday 17th May in support of Marie Curie’s Emergency Appeal.

Selina Taylor from Marie Curie’s retail team said: “Here is your chance to own a piece of Saturday Night Takeaway history by bidding for Ant and Dec’s specially made superhero outfits which were kindly given to us by ITV.

"They are washed and ready to wear and all the donations will go towards supporting the Marie Curie Emergency Appeal.

"The coronavirus has had, and continues to have, a devastating effect on our fundraising and income – income upon which we rely on to be able to provide vital care for dying people and their loved ones.”

Marie Curie needs to raise £2.5million every week to continue to run their essential frontline services but its ability to generate this money has been seriously compromised by the Covid-19 crisis.
