Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway return date confirmed as big names lined up to appear

Weekends will become just that little it more entertaining from next week, as it has been confirmed that Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway will return to screens.

The Geordie duo's hit TV show has now been on screen for two decades and can always be relied onto be a ratings winner for ITV, as Ant and Dec get up to all sorts of high jink, often at the expense of unsuspecting audience members and celebrities who join them. Highlights in recent series have included hilarious I'm A Celebrity Get Out Me Ear sketches, their Undercover prank on Jeremy Clarkson and their fabulous drag transformation for the first End of the Show Show of last year.

And it sounds like the news series of Saturday Night Takeaway will be unmissable telly as Joe Wicks and Claudia Winkleman, fresh from hosting series one of BBC smash The Traitors, starring in brand new and hilarious editions of I’m A Celebrity…Get Out Of Me Ear! and Alison Hammond and Rylan as the next unwitting victims of their very own Undercovers.

The show's Twitter account posted a video rubber stamping its return, featuring lines like stuffing confetti cannons, searching for lost earpieces, watching all the ads and 'Adding Stephen Mulhern ack into the group chat.'
