Ant and Dec's brilliant lockdown pranks from food fight and ballet to golf accident

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly  have been keeping fans entertained during lockdown with their hilarious skits on Instagram.

They have reached four million followers on the social media platform and have been celebrating by filming comedy pranks virtually from their separate home.

Over the last six weeks, they have played socially distanced badminton, thrown bananas at each other and danced virtual ballet together.

Their latest stunt involved a game off golf that left Dec in agony after he was struck on the head with one of the balls.

Thankfully the telly favourite wasn't seriously hurt and it was all part of the pair's cheeky skit.

Badminton

Dec donned tennis whites complete with pulled up socks and a headband while Ant went for a more casual look in flip flops for the socially distanced game.

As the pair played together, seemingly batting the shuttlecock over a garden wall, the duo began to question exactly who they were playing against in the coronavirus inspired sketch.

“This is great. So handy we live on the same street,” Dec said as he energetically hit back.

“You know I moved don’t you?” Ant replied, causing Dec to react in shock when his badminton partner revealed he had moved “six miles away.”

Ant then said he moved: “A little while ago,” prompting Dec to exclaim: “Did you? Well who the hell am I playing badminton with?”

The pair then ran away from the camera in horror as they realised they were not playing against each other as they had thought.

Ant and Dec shared the video via their shared Instagram account along with the caption: “We wondered why the neighbours complained about the racquet.”

Last March the boys stopped being neighbours after living beside each other for decades in Chiswick when Ant opted to move house to West London.

Meanwhile, Dec still lives on the street alongside his wife Ali Astall and their daughter Isla, who will be two-years-old in September.

Food fight

The TV stars took virtual play fighting to a whole new level as they were seen throwing books, fruit and even chairs at each other.

The light-hearted clip started with Dec, 44, reading a book as his co-star began pestering him.

Ant, who is also 44, throws a ping pong ball at his pal's face.

After fuelling up a rage, Dec throws his book back at Ant before the pair begin throwing larger objects at each other - including chairs.

Golf

The duo dabbled in some golf during the unexpected bank holiday heatwave, but not all went to plan.

The side-splitting video starts off with Ant preparing to shoot the golf ball off the tee as he dons a navy pair of golfing pants and a bright pink T-shirt.

Meanwhile, Dec is checking out their joint social media account at the other side of the virtual garden.

After discovering that the pair have finally hit a whopping four million followers, an excited and rather bewildered Dec shouts across to Ant to share the good news.

"Oh wow! Have you seen how many million followers we've got on Instagram now?" he proclaims.

Ant injures Dec in hilarious golfing accident

Unbeknownst to the fact that Ant has pelted the gold ball his way, Declan proceeds to inform his pal about their huge following.

In an attempt to warn his friend to move out of the way before getting struck by the sports ball, Ant screams "FOUR" across the garden.

However, ditzy Dec thinks that his partner in crime is merely guessing their amount of Instagram followers.

As expected, it all ends in agony as Dec is inevitably struck in the head by the rapid golf ball.

'Cup and balls'

They invented a new game called 'cup and balls' (Instagram)

Although they struggled to find a name for their new game that wasn't rude, they still managed to keep fans entertained.

"Alright then," Ant says on a video call to Dec, "Bit of isolation fun."

"I love isolation fun!" says Dec, "It's not badminton again, is it?"

The pair face off in a best of five match of trying to get ping pong balls into a cup.

"Cup 'n' balls," laughs Dec, "Sounds a bit rude."

Ant looks like he's absolutely smashing it as he shows off trick shots and blind throws, before a hand appears in front of the camera to give him a thumbs up.

"Who's is that hand?" Dec demands, before a disgraced Ant rings off.

Ballet buddies

Ant and Dec edited together a hilarious video showing off their many talents.

One of the clips puts their torsos onto the bodies of female ballet dancers, while they are also seen doing an Irish jig, surfing, skateboarig  and riding a unicycle.

Another posts shows the pair playing about with video calling filters, with Ant appearing as a pickle and as the US President.
