Ant and Dec's Limitless Win earns ITV its best Saturday ratings in a year

Ant and Dec have real reason to celebrate after their new show Limitless Win helped ITV earn its highest Saturday night audience share in a year for its time slot.

The Geordie duo had high hopes for their gripping new programme, with fans expecting great things after catching all the teaser adverts over the festive period.

Limitless Win, which started at 8.30pm after The Masked Singer, sees pairs of contestants aim to climb the money ladder, with some truly life changing amounts of money up for grabs if their gambles pay off.

Saturday night's episode, which pulled in an average of 4.7 million viewers, saw couple Will and Kathryn, an intensive care doctor and midwife, walk away with a massive £500,000, some of which they've since donated to charity, after they left Ant and Dec's nerves shot and viewers at home on the edges of their seats.

At one point during the game, Will made a last ditch decision to play with just 1 second left on the clock, prompting Ant to exclaim: "Will, you'll have me in your intensive care unit in a minute!"

ITV have now revealed that Limitless Win, which will continue this Saturday, achieved the channel's biggest overnight audience in the slot since March 2021, when Saturday Night Takeaway aired and the country was in lockdown.

A peak of 5.2 million people tuned into its launch show, off the back of The Masked Singer getting a series 3 high of 4.8 million for its third episode.

Taking to Twitter after Limitless Win's first episode aired, Ant and Dec posted: " Thank you so much for all your lovely #LimitlessWin messages. We’re so glad you enjoyed watching it as much as we enjoyed making it. Roll on next Saturday!"
