Ant and Dec’s BGT Golden Buzzer act Akshat Singh's past TV fame exposed

Ant and Dec pressed their Golden Buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday for teenage dancer Akshat Singh.

The 13 year old from Mumbai, India, impressed them and the judges with his moves in the latest episode.

But you may recognise him, as the contestant is no stranger to TV talent shows, and even went viral not so long ago.

Akshat has even appeared on another version of BGT in India, before taking to screens in America and Australia.

BGT hosts Ant and Dec's Golden Buzzer act revealed in emotional scenes

He appeared on dance reality show Dance Bangla Dance back in 2011.

Following this, he went on to compete on India's Got Talent, where he was thrown into the spotlight.

His act led to him going viral, and it wasn’t long before he appeared on US chat show The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

He performed for Ellen and the audience after videos of him throwing some serious shapes was picked up on the internet.

Akshat even performed on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, the Indian version of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing in 2014.

In 2017, he appeared on Australia's version of Little Big Shots.

On Saturday night the teenager took to the stage after a series of bad acts left the judges in desperate hope of someone to put through to the next round.

Akshat revealed his motivation for doing the show was to “make everyone happy”, as well as to show “nothing is impossible”.

The judges gave the youngster a standing ovation, before giving their feedback.

But as the judges went to vote, they were left stunned as Ant and Dec told them not to bother as they raced on and pressed the Golden Buzzer.

Britain’s Got Talent continues next Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
