Ant and Dec mock Amanda Holden with hilarious Instagram snap as they recreate her shower pose

Mocking: Ant and Dec poked fun at their BGT co-star (Picture: Instagram @antanddec)

Ant and Dec proved that they are back on hilarious form as they poked fun at their Britain’s Got Talent co-star Amanda Holden, recreating the judge’s glamorous Instagram pose.

Holden shared a photo of herself posing in a shower stall yesterday, kicking her right leg up against the wall, during a break in her filming schedule.

Alongside it, she wrote: “Can’t help thinking how funny this would be if it suddenly turned on.”

Not wanting to miss out on an opportunity to gently mock their colleague, the presenting duo decided to recreate her stance in a post of their own.

Dressed in matching tuxedos, they shared a very similar picture, in which they pouted at the camera and rolled up their trouser legs to better imitate Holden.

They even gave their talent show colleague a special shout out in their caption, writing: “Inspired by @noholdenback yesterday.”

Luckily, Holden saw the funny side, commenting with a fire emoji and adding: “This is genius.”

McPartlin and Donnelly’s fans couldn’t help but agree with her, describing the stunt as “hilarious” and “so funny.”

“Thanks for brightening my day,” one wrote.

Another suggested that it was now Holden’s turn “to get your own back,” writing: “This is genius from these guys but don’t be beaten, I’m sure you have plenty on these two.”

Others said that they were “glad” to see the Geordie duo “back together” after their extended hiatus.

McPartlin reunited with Donnelly last month after taking an extended break from the public eye following a drink driving incident last year and a stint in rehab.

Shortly after, the pair received the Best Presenter gong at the National Television Awards for the 18th year in a row, despite McPartlin’s career hiatus.

The 43-year-old described the win as “a genuine shock,” and told viewers: “I really don’t feel like I can accept this award this year.”

He went on to praise his long-time presenting partner, adding: “The one reason we won is because of this guy – his hard work, dedication, wit and being the best mate there is out there.”
