Ant and Dec leave fans squirming by filming themselves getting coronavirus tests before BGT final

Ant and Dec left some fans squirming after posting a video of themselves getting tested for coronavirus.

The duo are gearing up to host the grand finale of this year's Britain's Got Talent, which will air on ITV on Saturday night.

After coronavirus prompted some big changes to the show this year, we still only know who five of the finalists are, with the judges choosing variety act Steve Royle; dancing duo, Aaron and Jasmine; magician, Magical Bones; comedy singer and performer, Jon Courtenay; and stand-up comedian, Nabil Abdulrashid to go through.

It was down to the public to pick the remaining five finalists and the identity of those will finally be revealed on Saturday.

Ant and Dec have been able to host Britain's Got Talent together after forming a 'coronavirus cohort', which allows them to be in close proximity to each other and hug one another if they so wish.

One of the requirements of the cohort is that the Geordie duo get tested for the virus every four days.

Usually they do this individually but on Thursday they got tested together, with Ant winding a much more squeamish Dec up throughout.

The rather invasive and uncomfortable test involves a swab of the back of the throat and up the nose and as a medic put the swab in Dec's mouth, Ant giggling "Deeper, deeper!"

And then as his best mate and co-host's nose was swabbed, Ant joked: "He doesn't like that!"

Dec exclaimed: "That is the most uncomfortable test I've ever had!"

Some of the lads' many Instagram followers shared Dec's sentiments, with one responding: "God I hope I never have to do the test, I cannot do anything to do with stuff up the nose," and another commented: "no thankyou."
