Ant and Dec go behind-the-scenes at their 'real office' complete with basketball meetings

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have given fans a very honest glimpse into their day-to-day working life.

The cheeky duo have shared a sneak peak of their 'very real' office where they hold important meetings (and sometimes play basketball) as they prepare to take on even more massive projects.

The I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! presenters have established themselves as the nation's favourite double act since first appearing on screen together in Byker Grove back in the 90s, and the Geordie lads have now set their sights on even bigger things.

Ant and Dec recently founded production company, Mitre Television Limited, and taking to Instagram earlier today, the Britain's Got Talent presenters gave fans a tongue-in-cheek glimpse of what they have in store for their company.

As footage shows a collection of awards presented to the duo over the years in an office - and a cardboard cut-out of the pair with Ant's head missing - Dec explains: "We've noticed we've had lots of comment on some our videos, of people saying 'Is that your real office where you shoot Game Boys and do all that sort of stuff?'

"But it is our actual office and we do actual work!"

"Office work," Ant adds, "Like proper jobs."

The boys then say, with a straight face, how they attend a lot of meetings throughout a typical week, before the camera cuts to footage of the two stars fooling around with a basketball in a room marked 'Important meeting'.

Ant is then shown on the phone ordering a pizza, something the hilarious duo describe as a 'phone meeting in the TV world' before explaining how dad-of-two Dec is entrusted to make sure the all-important biscuit spreadsheet is kept updated.

"So we do lots of work and we wanted to start showing you behind the scenes," Ant begins to conclude in the light-hearted video.

Dec adds: "That's the reason we're starting this channel, so people can get a real glimpse in a real television work place. At work. At Mitre."

Fans loved the comical update from Ant and Dec as they launched their production company on social media, with one even commenting: "when y’all hiring tho?"

"Got to love a spreadsheet no matter what it’s for," another quipped, as a third joined in on the joke and wrote: "Are the plants real? Who waters them? Surely that's work? No?"

Mitre is named after the pub from the TV show Byker Grove, which is where the award-winning presenter first met as young actors in 1990.

Speaking in 2020, when Ant and Dec acquired a business manager for Mitre, a source claimed Ant and Dec are looking at 'new streaming opportunities,' to grow and expand the reach of their company.

They revealed to The Sun: 'Ant and Dec have dominated our screens for years but now they’d like to have a shot working with the streaming giants – including Netflix.

"They’re tied up in a mega-money deal with ITV so won’t be appearing on screen but want their production company to push into the market.

"There are endless opportunities for their old formats which could end up being put onto streaming platforms," the source added.
