Ant and Dec deliver three word verdict as Newcastle climb to fourth in league after Spurs win

Ant and Dec joined in the delight of many other Newcastle United fans after the side's 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday saw them climb up to fourth in the league.

After a 0-0 at Old Trafford a week earlier and a 1-0 home win against Everton at St James' Park midweek, Eddie Howe's men were on the hunt for a result against in form Spurs and that's exactly what they got. It was striker Callum Wilson who made the breakthrough at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium just after the half hour mark, before man of the moment, Miguel Almiron, doubled NUFC' s lead in the 40th minute.

England striker Harry Kane pulled one back for the home team after 54 minutes but Spurs couldn't find the net again, meaning the Magpies travelled back up north with a well earned three points. And the Premier League table made great viewing for the Geordie faithful, as the victory moved Newcastle up to 4th, just two points behind their Sunday opponents.

Ant and Dec followed the action as it happened and, as the final whistle blew, they took to Twitter to post: "Yessss!!! Toon Toon." As well as giving their own reaction, the I'm A Celebrity hosts retweeted a post from former Newcastle keeper Shay Given, which read: "Geeety uuuuup @NUFC."

They followed Ant's tweet about Almiron in the first half. After he found the net again, Ant reacted: "Yes Miggy!!!!"

Ant and Dec were among the many stars to congratulate NUFC fan favourite Bruno Guimaraes on the birth of his and fiancée Ana's first child together. After Bruno posted pictures of him and baby son Matteo on Instagram, the Geordie presenters reacted with two love hearts.

After the Spurs game, they also shared a post from Bruno about his dash down to London to be part of the squad. The new dad's tweet read: "This is for you guys! Two days without sleep could be at home but I always wanted to be here with you! Thanks for the support and a kiss from Matteo to you!! He is Brazilian Geordie."
