Ant and Dec declare Shane and Jessica's Bushtucker Trial the 'funniest in 20 years'

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have set I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here fans up for a treat this evening after declaring the latest Bushtucker Trial the funniest they have witnessed in 20 years.

Tonight two former EastEnders stars - Shane Richie and Jessica Plummer - will face Sickening Stalls.

The challenge will see the pair, who have had endured some friction over past trials, being forced to down some grim beverages to win meals for their hungry campmates.

After seeing the pair in the pre-recorded scenes, Ant and Dec have teased the trial is not to be be missed after revealing they'd laughed their way through the ordeal.

"Wow! We've just finished shooting the trial, it's a drinking trial with Jess and Shane.

"One of the funniest we've ever had in 20 years. Good luck watching it!" laughed Ant.

Dec then chimed in to warn viewers,: "Make sure you've had your tea."

"Oh my god, amazing!" finished Ant.

The pressure will be on for Jessica to do well in the trial after she managed to gain just one star during her first attempt alongside AJ Pritchard.

The 'gutted' actress said she felt she had let the camp down which led to some viewers venting their frustration at Shane and Vernon Kay for their reaction to her upset.

The two men were seen having secret chats later in the evening, where Shane asked his pal why Jessica had come on the show if she knew she was easily scared.

Shane described Jessica and Jordan as ‘cut from the same cloth’ because of how spooked they got ahead of the notorious Bushtucker Trials.

The Alfie Moon actor added: "I say this every year I watch it, why do you do it? You know what’s gonna happen."

Vernon replied: "The more you show, the more they’re gonna give it to you’ referring to the way viewers tend to pick on the celebs they think look the weakest competitors.
