Ant and Dec' awkward moment at the Baftas as I'm A Celebrity wins best reality award

It was an awkward moment for the hosts of I'm a Celebrity last night as the show won the BAFTA award for Reality and Constructed Factual.

Ant and Dec were nominated together for ITV1's Saturday Night Takeaway in the best presenter category, while Britain's Got Talent won best entertainment programme at Sunday's ceremony.

But the I'm a Celebrity award wasn't really for Ant because his role had been filled by Holly Willoughby last year following his drink driving conviction, ChronicleLive reports.

So it looked like an uncomfortable moment all round when Ant made his way up to accept the award with the rest of the crew standing aside so that Holly and Dec could take the glory.

Fortunately the pair managed to turn it into a joke with Dec turning to Holly and laughing: "oh yes, you were in it weren't you?"

Accepting the award, he then said: "Wow, wow... Thank you BAFTA, thank you ITV for your continued support, thank you everyone.

"This obviously goes to a very hard and dedicated production team both her and in Australia, our crew in Australia work incredibly hard.

"I'd like to say thank you to Holly for helping me out last year, who did a fantastic job standing in for Ant, who has reluctantly come up here tonight, there he is, because he's still part of the team obviously, so we wanted him up here to celebrate with us as well."

Thanking the BAFTA team again, he called the award "a wonderful surprise".
