Ant and Dec at St James' Park as Newcastle clinch Champions League spot

Ant and Dec were in jubilant mood on Monday night, as they saw their beloved Newcastle United clinch a place in next season's Champions League under the lights at St James' Park.

On Saturday afternoon it looked like United might not have even needed to kick a ball against Leicester to be in the Champions League, as Aston Villa led against Liverpool right until the end, only for Roberto Firmino to level things up in the dying minutes.

That meant that Eddie Howe's men just needed a point from their next two games to secure qualification and, given that former Premier League winners Leicester have been struggling all season and are staring relegation in the face, many fans thought that they might see NUFC run away with the match in their final home game of the season.

With a packed house in attendance, things didn't actually play out that way, with a superb save from Nick Pope preventing Leicester spoiling the Champions League party at the death. But the 0-0 scoreline was all United needed to land in the hat for Europe's most famous tournament this year, cue huge celebrations all around the ground as the players and their families took to the ground.

Ant and Dec have tried to get back up to St James' as much as they could this season, with them gutted they couldn't be on home turf as their team clinched a spot at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final.

But the I'm A Celebrity hosts were very much present for Monday night's game and took to Twitter and Instagram looking absolutely delighted after the final whistle blew.
