Ant and Dec ask fans to submit videos for Saturday Night Takeaway to make up for no studio audience

Ant and Dec have appealed for help from their fans this weekend as Saturday Night Takeaway goes ahead without a live audience.

The pair took the decision to go ahead with their show this weekend without the presence of a studio audience but say they need their viewers help to make it special.

This Saturday, Olly Murs will be singing his hit ‘Dance With Me Tonight’ and as he performs, Ant and Dec want to see the nation on their feet, dancing alongside Olly as part of their spectacular 'end of the show show'.

The iconic duo took to Twitter to ask their viewers to help them make the show as great as ever by sending in videos of them dancing along too. They said: " #SaturdayNightTakeaway NEEDS YOU! We have no studio audience this week so we want YOU, the audience at home, to be the stars of the #EndOfTheShowShow.....Film (in landscape) yourself, your family, your pets, whatever, dancing along to @ollymurs ‘Dance With Me Tonight’ at home, for at least 1 min.....then SUBMIT it to us. And you could end up as part of a brilliant EOTSS! See you (and yourself!) on the telly!!"

Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway (ITV)

The Saturday Night Takeaway Team revealed this week that the show will be going ahead tomorrow night without an audience and also a reduced production crew due to government advice to avoid large public gatherings but they have promised that despite this, the show will still be as brilliant as ever.

If you are taking part, the pair have asked that you avoid wearing any branded clothing or featuring alcohol in your submissions.

A selection of these videos may be shown in the programme on Saturday, March 21, and may also feature on the Saturday Night Takeaway social media pages, website or other platforms.

Ant and Dec had to axe their grand finale in Florida which was scheduled for a few weeks time as Disney World Orlando announced that it had closed its doors due to the coronavirus crisis.
