Ant and Dec apologise TWICE for swearing on ITV Saturday Night Takeaway - but fans are left baffled

Saturday Night Takeaway hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly said sorry after some bad language slipped out on their family entertainment show.

The popular pair, who have hosted SNT for 20 years, apologised twice to viewers during the hour-and-a-half show on Saturday March 5.

"We're live tonight," said Ant drily.

But baffled fans responded to say they hadn't even heard any swearing and asked 'what rude words?'

@putthetellyon said: "Stop apologising for swearing we can’t hear! #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

Viewers wondered what they had missed (ITV)

@robpw2 tweeted: "Wish they’d stop apologising for swearing #SaturdayNightTakeaway it’s ruining my f****** enjoyment."

@matthewgordonn asked: "What rude words? #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

@Mayce_Windu demanded to know: "What rude words did I miss?"

@BoyReattie asked: "Anyone winding back to see what the rude word was? Totally missed it."

@RyanGTweetsTV wondered: "Me trying to work out what the rude word was?"

@ScottElliott10 said they also missed it.

"@antanddec apologise twice for bad language on @itvtakeaway Why do I always miss it? Must listen better," they tweeted.

@BoyReattie asked: "Anyone winding back to see what the rude word was? Totally missed it."

And @FrancisBoylan said: "Again having to apologise for 'bad words'.

"Genuinely didn't notice."
