Ant and Dec aim hilarious dig at Newcastle boss Steve Bruce on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

It seems Ant and Dec were among the countless Newcastle fans to be left frustrated with their side's 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.

The Magpies offered another lifeless display at St James' Park as they surrendered to their visitors at St James' Park.

Fans were left incredibly frustrated by their side's lack of ambition during the defeat and pre-match the stats were laid bare for all to see.

BT Sport, who were covering the match live, highlighted that Newcastle were bottom of the Premier League standings for shots on goal, touches in the opposition box and passes into the final third and have the third worst possession stats in the division.

Things didn't get any better during the game either, as United mustered just one shot on target and yielded only 28 per cent of the ball.

It followed on from previous poor displays against Southampton, Manchester United, Tottenham and Brighton and some fans have lost patience with Steve Bruce, prominent fan groups NUFC 360 and Wor Flags among them, citing Newcastle's lack of ambition and substance.

And while the popular TV duo weren't as scathing, they did use last night's episode of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here to get in a cheeky dig about the Newcastle boss' tactics.

After Dec complained that of the 500 channels in his hotel room, not one of them was showing football, Ant hit back: "Lucky you! There's no plan B, Dec. There's no plan B!"

Their jibe was not lost on Newcastle fans either, with one fan tweeting: "You know things are bad when Ant and Dec are having a go at Steve Bruce."

Newcastle will look to get back to winning ways when they take on Crystal Palace away from home on Friday evening.
