As Warriors Wire reported yesterday, the Golden State Warriors honored #LoveYourPetDay on Twitter by posting a photo of Warriors’ players with their respective fur kids. But there was one hitch: The faces of the players were blued out, leaving Dub Nation fans to guess which Warrior human goes with which animal.
Rocco doesn’t look like Rocco in the photo, but it was easy to identify Klay Thompson because of his physical profile alone. The dog on the right side of the tweet (at the bottom) resembled Stephen Curry’s Rookie, but not exactly, and the black lab on the right (at the top) was a total mystery.
Several hours later, the Warriors shared the unaltered photos: Thompson with Rocco snuggling on his lap during a flight, Damion Lee with the brown Rookie lookalike using his head as a pillow and Jordan Bell with the black lab resting its head on Bell’s noggin.
Dogs bring a lot of joy, so it’s great to see the Warriors’ players basking in it.
