ANPR Interceptor Police unit stops car full of stolen goods

An eagle-eyed Police ANPR Interceptor team stopped a vehicle full of stolen goods which they believe to have been ransacked local properties.

Officers from Northern Ireland Road Policing Unit revealed images of the vehicle that been stopped and stolen possessions seized believed to be from houses in Castlereagh and Lisburn near Belfast.

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the theft of the recovered stolen items.

Possessions suspected taken included rugs, plates, paint, cushions and a bin.

Police tweeted at 12.30pm on Friday August 6: "Vehicle stopped by ANPR Interceptor Team officers after its suspected involvement in a number of recent thefts in the Police Lisburn and Castlereagh rea."
