LUDHIANA: For the second consecutive day, an under-trial from Ludhiana tested positive for Covid even as there was no death due to disease on Friday.
On Friday, a 22-year-old male under-trial from Choti Haibowal tested positive for Covid. A day before as well, a 31-year-old male of Dhoka Mohalla in Ludhiana, who is an under-trial, had tested positive for Covid.
Health department officials said that the under-trial is lodged in a police station in Ludhiana and is asymptomatic. They added that his RT PCR test was done before producing him in a court.
As per health department officials, with one person testing positive for Covid in Ludhiana, the number of cases from the district who have tested positive for the diseases till now is 113641 whereas the number of cases from outer districts/states are 15304.
