Earlier this month, a teenager was charged after he was found carrying a knife in the same spot.
GMP's Transport Unit have had a number of successful results from plain clothes and high visibility policing forcewide since it was established in November 2019.
Officers carry out 'pulse policing' in hotspot areas near to public transport and operate in a way where it is difficult to predict where the police will be and when.
GMP said the Fallowfield Loop area 'remains a divisional issue', but they are focusing on areas that meet with transport stops with plain clothes officers in order to combat problems.
"We continue to analyse data from TFGM and Police Systems around the public transport network to identify emerging problems," the spokesperson for the Transport Unit said.
"Our priority is community reassurance and to target criminality and anti-social behaviour.
"The public should be reassured that public transport in Greater Manchester is a safe way to travel but the Transport Unit are here to robustly target individuals who make it feel unsafe.
"For example if we get repeat nuisance behaviour we work closely with TFGM to ensure travel passes are rescinded and people are banned from travelling."
