Another sign that Nottingham Forest fans are backing the promotion bid

Sabri Lamouchi’s Nottingham Forest play-off chasers are likely to be backed by another big travelling contingent on the road.

Fresh from seeing off bitter rivals Derby County on Saturday to cement their place in the Championship’s top six, the Reds face a trip to play-off rivals Bristol City after the international break.

More than 2,300 tickets have been sold for the visit to Ashton Gate on November 23 with less than 250 remaining of the full allocation.

If, as expected, the Reds sell the remaining allocation with prices as high as £32, it’ll be the third straight sell-out for their supporters, following the visit to Luton and 1-0 success over Derby at the City Ground.

The Ashton Gate fixture is beautifully poised, with Forest occupying fifth place and Lee Johnson’s Robins a place back in sixth, with the pair only separated by goal difference after local derby wins at the weekend.

City’s home hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for the Reds over recent years, winning just three of their last 14 visits dating back to 1989.

Last season,  the pair battled out a 1-1 draw on the opening afternoon of the season in Bristol, with Daryl Murphy netting the equaliser after Andy Weimann’s fifth minute opener.

Update 11/11/19 - 1430: Tickets have now completely sold out for Forest fans.
