Another serious road crash closes A77 during early hours of the morning

Another serious road crash closed the A77 in the early hours of this morning.

The smash, on the southbound lane between Maybole and Turnberry, was the latest bad crash on the road this week.

Emergency services closed both lanes of the carriageway for three hours shortly after 1am following the incident.

It follows Tuesday's serious crash close to Maybole which has left a man fighting for his life in hospital.

That incident saw a Ford Fiesta collide with a bus between Maybole and Minishant on the same A77.
