'Another Salford boy gone too soon': Huge outpouring of grief after businessman 'Snaggle' murdered in Spain

Tributes have poured in for a Salford businessman gunned down outside his villa in Spain.

Dad-of-two Peter Andrew Williamson was shot dead outside his Riviera del Sol home on Thursday night.

The 39-year-old, nicknamed 'Snaggle', had just while parking his Audi.

It is believed his killer drove up alongside him and opened fire before speeding away.

Mr Williamson is understood to have moved to Spain from Salford earlier this year.

He is understood to have been originally from Kersal.

Paying tribute on social media, several people said 'another Salford boy gone too soon'.

A family member wrote: "Words cannot express the loss our family has had losing our gorgeous little Peter 'Snaggle'. Still in shock.

"This guy would do anything for anyone and was loved by everyone he met.

"It’s such a privilege to have grown up with him and I’ve got some amazing memories.

"RIP little Peter, taken too soon. Thinking of all our family at this time. Love you all xxx."

Sarah Kay Moores wrote: "Absolutely devastated and heartbroken. Still doesn't seem real that he's gone."

Salford Mac said: "God bless and RIP Peter (Snaggle) Salford love and respect always mate."

A further tribute read: "So sad gone to soon RIP Snaggle (Peter) my thoughts go out to his mum, mrs and the poor kids. Sleep tight mate x."

Another person wrote: "Rest in peace Snaggle. Everyone I’ve spoken to is heartbroken.

"You were such a top guy always had us in fits of laughter. Can still hear you rapping the Salford guy song.

"Take it easy up there, another gone way too soon."

Business records show Mr Williamson was registered as a self-employed agricultural sector intermediary, specialising in 'international trade'.

A source told the  Manchester Evening News : "He was very well known in Salford, but left for Spain a number of months ago.

"He was shot at 3.15pm yesterday. Within an hour, the news had filtered through to Salford."
